Eight a.m. They want to ply you with wine for 10 hours straight.

That is a LOT of wine!

Either that - or they take an awful lot of time over pouring a glass of wine.

The SIGN said until 6PM

But Garry said:

They open at eight, I believe

He did not say if it was eight AM or eight PM :p

Sorry, it was early in the morning when I tried putting it together. I need to keep away from the phone and computer in the morning until I'm more coherent. ߘ

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

Would someone please explain the joke to me? Does the number 01 have a secret meaning?

Dukes of Hazzard. The General Lee was the 01, an orange 1969 Dodge Charger with the 01 on the doors, a confederate flag painted on the roof, and "General Lee" over the top of the doors.

Another one where I need an automotively knowledgeable person to explain the humor.

Don't look at the sign, look under it. The "art" under the sign suggests that people should use their services before what supposedly happened to that car happens to them.

Does the TF actually know about the soda cans and PVC pipe from 30 years ago?

Thanks, both of you. That wasn't so technical after all. I didn't pay attention to the car because its front end is in relative darkness (didn't check for a doorway there) and this is the funny-sign thread.

Nogo, your wording implies that the scene was faked. ?

Agreed. It's fair to say the installation piece works in tandem with the actual sign.

Had to pass up a great opportunity for this thread today. I was coming off the interstate and there was a grubby looking guy with his wife sitting there at the stop sign with a sign that read "Why Lie. We Need Beer Money". I had a line of cars and trucks behind me and I wasn't about to pull over and ask them for a picture. :O

Lousy cellphone shot, this sign was bought by my late husband and posted outside every time we had Polish visitors. I'm Polish :) Now it's on a wall in my kitchen and I put it up outside whenever some Poles visit :)
