Looks decent to me. Loads fast, everything seems to work. I would flesh out the galleries and cull a bit. Your bird gallery is long, but your landscape one has three images that are floating off on the right. Kinda weird. But everything else looks great.

Ultimately it depends on your intended audience. Most people don't browse websites anymore, they browse a social media post more often these days. So fleshing out FB/Insta/etc will get more attention than just a website/blog.

Very best,

Thanks for the feedback - much appreciated

I have a very active FB account that I post to regularly, I really wanted to find a platform to attach my blog to hence the idea of a website..

Your points noted, will look at implementing ...

It looks OK to me, too. Putting a © notice on the home page is OK, but you don't really get any protection until you put it on the images, too.
From Carolyn E Wright's blog: (external link) Section 1202 of the U.S. Copyright Act makes it illegal for someone to remove the watermark from your photo so that it can disguise the infringement when used. The fines start at $2500 and go to $25,000 in addition to attorneys' fees and any damages for the infringement.
The pertinent part of the statute is included the link.
