Good for you, Rog; it's a species I've never seen. Sometimes the odd one shows up in southern MN.

if he/she likes your planter enough, he/she may decide to nest there. It has happened to me in the past..

That would be great, but I haven't seen any activity since.

Very cool Rog, have never seen one either but hear they are around. Juncos like to nest in planters around here too.

It looks like a huge bird until you see the planter shot! I've only seen the House variety, in fact, one is singing as I type! It's nesting in a Bluebird house. Nice shots by the way! My spellcheck always tries to change your name to dog, so I'm not gonna fight with it today!

Hey Ian, thank you. Bet there aren't many varieties you and Al have not seen-native to North America, that is. Seems like one shows up every year for a few days and then moves on. Hoping the planter attracts the hummers, but Hummingbird activity is way down currently.

Maybe your spellcheck knows what it's doing!;-)a I have not knowingly heard the CW 's song but the others singing is quite prevalent outside. Can brighten up the day, that's for sure! Thanks, Sandy.
