Last night I had photographed the brighter star. Accidentally I captured meteorite or comet going by sky.

You photographed Jupiter and its largest moons, and a plane passing by. :)

Very best,

There's no way its a comet, they're too faint. Literally no question its not possible to be a comet, by itself, at this exposure range with no other equal or higher magnitude stars present. Only the very, very bright Jupiter. Not a comet.

It's not a meteorite, they don't have leading cylinder objects that reflect light with vapor trails. They're fireballs with no separation from head to tail when they streak.

It's at 90mm on a full frame occupying several pixels (above is 1:1 crop). It's a rather large object and its clearly in the atmosphere. Also, planes fly at different altitudes.

Likelyhood of it being a plane is most probable.

Cool shot though with Jupiter. :)

Very best,

A deceased adolescent humpback whale washed ashore in southern Rhode Island over the weekend. A sad sight to be sure, but I think this might be one of the most specific realizations that New England's beaches are absolutely nothing like my previous home's in Florida. -?

really amazing

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

I felt like a Floridian again yesterday hiking through this swamp in southern Massachusetts. The left side of the boardwalk went a little sideways last year after an ice storm, while the right side apparently stayed pretty solid. Pretty cool to see!
