Hey Burnett! Nice change of pace from your normal football work.

I like the first image. One thing I would recommend - try a little faster shutter. You might have to raise the ISO a bit, but the 7DII can handle it. Freezing the bat and ball a bit more matches what I have seen parents around here want - except a few that like the slightly blurry version showing the movement. I enjoy trying to capture both kinds when I'm out shooting softball/baseball.

You're images are getting sharper too - good job!

This is probably another thread all together so feel free to pm me, but I was shooting at a friend's daughter's softball tournament last weekend and was surprised that I was the ONLY one. Lots of money in these tournaments too. Your post suggests there is a market but I'm not seeing it here. Your thoughts?

yeah I hate to go above 5000 iso
5000 iso 2.8 1/1250 is my go to setting in a lot of cases
If my skills in LR were better with noise Id go higher ss
Got a game tonight Ill try maybe some at higher ss
they look a little green?
didnt in LR
maybe its just the web IDK
I usually use a light meter but I cant step out on the field after the sun goes down
once the game starts
sun goes down about 815 game is at 730
any suggestions on PP and setting are always appreciated
