Some recent shots of my son with the adapted Canon 70-200 II

Were those taken using the Metabones IV adaptor?

Eriet I need to clarify a statement----well add to a statement.
I think it takes three bodies for me in the Sony world.
A7Rii the landscaper.
a9 the shootist
a6xxx for pixel density

So many times I have to crop into to get what I want.
Pixel density of a6500 for example is 6.62, and for
a9 it is 2.83

So I'm in the middle of a major Canon shakedown thin-out and when that is done
I'll be in the market for an aXXX; who knows it might be an a7000 by then :)

I've lived this with the 1DXii and the 7Dii with, in the big picture (ha! get it :) more keepers
with the 7Dii.

So what would I want in the a7000 ???
dual FAST slots. 2 x UHS-II
And honestly I'd prefer a DSLR-like platform like the a7 series over the rangefinder style.
Move the card slots to the side so I don't have to remove the grip!

So good Vinz!

The only thing that throws it off is the position of her back foot and the size of the steps don't agree.

a9 + 85GM

A question was posed earlier about who needs greater than 5fps. My daughter 2 years old.....she doesn't pose, but the placement of her hands make the shots. These shots are basically extracts from short bursts at high frame rate. 20fps is a bit on the excessive side, but anytime you're photographing things as they happen, more fps means a greater likelihood of getting the money shot.

For something like a wedding ceremony, there's a tremendous value in having more fps available. Documentary photography, including weddings, is very much about timing key moments, but if you can blanket these key moments in a series of shots vs trying to perfectly time a single shot, that's really the best way to ensure you get the shots you need. i.e. More frames means getting that flash of a smile made by the bride.

20fps reminds me of when the Apple 2e had what 512k memory and that was enough :)

Anyway my first HIF-

Yes it was with the updated firmware.

Interesting. When I did a quick test of my 70-200 f/2.8L II with the Metabones latest firmware it performed rather poorly. I'll have to check my settings and test it again.

as long as you're using basic PDAF, you're still good to go. The advanced eye AF not all there yet. The current version is quite buggy TBH but there is a lot of progress.

Did you test indoors in poor light? Mine didn't do as well indoors. For the outdoor shots, I used AF-C with wide zone and center.
