Just ordered a Sports - just waiting on shipping. Can't wait to give it a go. Lot's of beautiful images in this thread! Upgraded gear from a 7D to 7DII and original 100-400 to the Sports, very excited.

Lens arrived this morning and these are a few of the first images - no crop. Beast of a lens, but feels so good in hand. Cactus Wren and Gila Woodpecker attached. Handheld with my new to me Canon 7D MkII. It is well over 100 degrees Farenheight these days, so cannot wait until it cools down again and we start seeing a greater variety of birds. I think I am going to love this combo!

A few from this morning. Slight crops and toning. Love this lens, so far using it as it came from the factory. Have a dock but haven't messed with it. The 7D II is a marked improvement over my old 7D as well.

Loving this new combo, still need to get more comfortable with it. Think I need to dig out the monopod so it is easier to zoom (shot this at 534mm instead of 600, so needed to crop) and am still getting acquainted wth the 7d Mk II AF ...
