The background is in Maui in 2007 and the foreground is Pt. Magu last week.

thanks jack, these are three of my best mates and i rarely get to photograph them all together. this was at a rugby match, so the only lens i had with me was a 300mm. i knew even stopped right down, there wouldnt be enough depth of field to keep them all in focus, so i went for three separate frames hoping i could stack them later. worked out a lot better than i thought tbh, and all four of us have a print in our homes.
