Hi all,
An image that I captured at aphelion (when the Earth is furthest from the Sun) two years ago is being featured as NASA's "Astronomy Picture of the Day" for today
The link is here:
https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap170705.html![]()
The image, which was taken with my 6D and 70-200 f/4L, captures the Sun rising behind the buildings of Brisbane. I first took an image of the buildings just after the start of dawn, and then I waited till the Sun rose and took an exposure every 3 minutes using a home-made Baader solar filter. All these images were then stacked to produce the final result.
Thanks for looking!
Cheers,
Stephen
