This is the interior of one of the green houses. It's like a mini rain forest in here. The challenge with editing this shot was not going overboard with saturating the green foliage. I hope I struck a nice color balance.

This is a sample of some of the colorful plants inside a larger greenhouse. Also with the Batis 18

Fred mirandas FE12-24 thread - wow!!!

I didn't want that lens but reading that thread makes me want it. I'm dreading him showing a test against the CV15 as I have an amazing copy of that lens and it's probably my favourite lens. If the 12-24 beats it the way it beat the CV12 I will have a lot to think about. Thankfully my lox 21 held up against it

CV 12 can't hang with the 15, but judging from the 16mm test.... I think the FE 12-24 edges it. I'll probably start my green toe bidding tomorrow.. I'll figure out the filter situation when I get the lens.

The reality for me is I am getting by ok with 15/21 so don't need this lens and it's just gas . I'm also not shooting enough at the moment due to other stuff going on so really should wait until I'm back into it and see if I feel there's a gap in my landscape lenses. The main gap I see is 35-70 and have been eyeing up the contax

Still want the 12-24 though even though it's gas :)

Well, the early reviews on the FE 12-24mm continue to blow me away. Fred's got resolution comparisons to CV 12mm and FE 16-35mm f/4 (beats 'em) and Loxia 21mm (nearly as good!).

I'm in no hurry, can wait for my September KC calendar sales, but I gotta get that lens one way or another. :)

pretty impressive little lens...but the sunstars it creates are not as good as the CV lenses... I think I am still more interested in how the 16-35 GM does with astro, it would allow me to replace two lenses with one...I would miss f/2 on the B25...but could live with a one lens solution.

I need to add an UWA lens at some point...I was going to get the Canon 16-35 F4IS since it can be had for good price used and AF with adapted lenses on the a9 works so well. The 12-24 looks really interesting though...after my time with the Laowa 12, I'm just not sure how much I'll actually shoot at 12mm. Really specialized focal length and very hard to get right.

12mm does require the right scene, it is not something you can do all the time...but I have found more uses for it than I thought.

Supposedly the the new 16-35GM is even better on paper than the 12-24. I want to see some tests results with the 16-35GM before deciding on which one to get.

MindShift PhotoCross 13 arrived today...very happy I got the 13 and not the 10. I think the 10 would be too small for my needs...now I need to get a good travel sized tripod...I don't think the TVC-33 will fit well on the PhotoCross!

Travis, that looks like a very nice bag. I like my PD backpack except when it comes to changing lenses. In that scenario, I have to put the bag down to swap out a lens. It's much easier with my Fstop bag which has the back that opens up. The PD backpack opens on the side like your PhotoCross.

=( I'm selling/returning my 10. Too small. The a9 with 24-70 GM doesn't fit standing up. Lay it flat and taking the camera out of the bag the hood catches on the zippered pocket. Also having the grip extension on the camera doesn't help with sizing. Anyone want it before I send it back to Mindshift?

I have not used it in the field yet...but so far it seems like it will be a good addition to the fleet...it holds more stuff than my F-Stop Brooklyn. So I like that...I carried the Brooklyn at the Zoo this past weekend, and it is a bit cramped.

Yeah, it doesn't fit with the battery grip at all...but I don't use the grip at the same time as I would use this bag...so not an issue for me. Are you going to replace it with the 13?
