I love these loon photos. I saw a pair of loons and an older chick, first time ever, last summer at Acadia NP in Maine. I was smitten. But I didn't have my long glass with me so the pix I did get wre not quite as sharp as I wanted. I want more!!! Love your photos PR!!

The Jackdaw.......Don't know why but I tend to ignore these birds. Probably because they are so common.

He may be common, but he looks like he's got an attitude...

Thank's Ed.. I totally get it. Their a huge challenge to shoot. And when they call close by it's something you will never forget.

Yeah what I don't get, is photobucket is SLOW and full of advertising even as a paying member, so I hope they have fun with their $399 game, everyone is ditching, that's just an insane amt of $

Had a visiter just a few minutes ago, I grabbed the 100-400L off the table and it had a 7D on it... I feel for those still using it and wonder how I ever stayed with photography using one. Yes the 7DII is always broken but it will capture a bit more detail. I can't believe I had to work so hard to get an image .... Not that long ago.

Wonderful shot Weja, they are so active it is sometimes hard to just get them in frame, but this in an excellent and charming portrayal.

Don't think I can complete with Weja's (Jan) wonderful post, but this about the best Firecrest I have managed.

Traveling around in Sweden these days, and were so lucky, that I could pee in my pants without getting wet....;o)) I do have this Black-throated Loon at a greater distance too, so I am afraid you may expect a bit of spam, when I am back home....;o))
