I like the image but is it abstract...........I'm not so sure.

This.
I love the image, it is great. However it is too obvious what it is and therefore doesn't work for me as an abstract image.

From an artistic standpoint, I don't really think it's up to anyone but the creator what it is or isn't. The beauty is that everyone interprets every image differently.

With that being said, it gets a 'pass' from me. Get rid of the 'glow,' and I like it even more. :)

Great shot! How did you do that? I hope it's not top secret :)

Thanks. Yes, top secret! No, just kidding. The setup is a black acrylic tile placed on a table with a black background. The glass sphere is 80 mm or so in diameter. And the lights are an LED light strip I purchased from Amazon. After it's all set up, turn off the lights, open the shutter, wave the light strip behind the table, then close the shutter (Bulb mode). And that's all there is to it. I'm still experimenting and will post a few others soon.

Thanks for the explanation; this is totally right up my alley. Going to experiment soon!

Very nice, again.
I have to look for that LED light strip.
