I spent an amazing hour watching this Little Owl on Saturday evening. Im hoping for a repeat performance on Saturday morning when hopefully he will be front lit.

I took this photo in the darkest of forests, under the shade of the tree canopy. The light could only break through in a few places and in the few places it did break through the birds were attracted to the light. This spotted flycatcher was enjoying the warm light for a good few minutes.

Dutch name is Oehoe, the english name is Eurasian Eagle-Owl
This bird is a rare species in the Netherlands. Pictures taken at a local bird show.:oops:
