MM, your recent images with the Sony A9 are quite good, maybe even spectacular, instantly recognizable colors. Now you have me dreaming of a new camera. If you could explain your setup, to get the 400DOii and the 1.4 ext. attached to the Sony, I would appreciate it greatly. Would the 2X ext. work as well? "Metabones" is all new to me. Can't believe I am asking this, been shooting Canon cameras for 20 years or more. Thanks.

Thanks Mike.
Just know I have a great love of Canon--always been good to me. My move to mFT and Sony is age/weight related.
OK, just wanted that clear--nothing to do against Canon.
Now the how to. Simple. I put the TC onto the lens, the combo onto a Metabones adapter, then connect to the Sony body.
I don't know if order is important, I always connected TCs to the lens first and then the combo to the body with Canon, so it
is out of habit I make the connections in that order.

Also Mike I've been shooting Sony longer than Canon, hard to believe but I started with a NEX-5 so I've been putting up with
Sony menus for a long time.
I mention that because other Canon shooters have asked me about the transition to Sony....it can be a pain. The two approaches are
vastly different...think about the a9, it is even a strange beast even to Sony shooters!
I will tell you Olympus menus make Sony menus look golden :)

Last time I tried Puffins IF at Skomer I had 100% failure, they come in fast and low to avoid the marauding gulls, so you have done well.

You are right, they ARE small and ARE fast.
But sometimes they just come and sit and have a look at you...
