Eriet, I just upgraded firmware on the LAEA3 and have a 1st gen Tam150-600mm......will
have to give it a go :) Thanks for the reminder.

Very nice...you and David both have a very clean look going on with these...is it Photomatix that is lending to that?

No HDR on mine of late...single exposures.

First day with the A9..... At work..... Grab the lox 21 and run out to a building we just finished up and had some fun there. Was so excited about the camera I really wasnt paying attn to focus lol.

Got home late so got a pic of the dog on the floor with the tammy 150-600 v1 - ISO 6400 much cleaner file than my 6500... much better. All shots hand held

Was walking out the door this AM and the love birds (escaped from a pet store in the 80s and now are all over Phoenix) were at the bird feeder in mass so will have some of those pics later.

What a wonderful camera.

Incomparable lighting. Happenstance? or did you set it up that way? Matters not, killer image.

Probably the best one yet for me...outstanding image...your daughter is one lucky kid!

To my eye the 400DOii + a9 is an amazing combination. I'm ditching a lot of EOS kit but this lens is going to hang
around a while.

Just got back from a Vegas/Big Sky trip out west, but I'll try not to spam the thread.

My favorites of the trip were a series I got of a hungry chipmunk near Old Faithful at Yellowstone.

This is my P-38, also known as the "John Wayne Can Opener". I've had it since I was in the Navy and is in poor shape. I need to remove the rust and see if I can't do something with the finish to smooth it up some.

I'm glad I can return some of the inspiration you give to me when you post from your journeys.

Here are a some more that are standard Yellowstone fare.

Good ole fashioned long(ish) exposures ....No SR app ;-)a IBIS works pretty well. The second image was at 1/15th.

Our summer evening ritual of watering the gardens.

Interesting....Did you really need to use the SR app if shooting at 1/10th? I like the shots regardless!

Yes, absolutely. Think of it as a digital variable ND filter and if you want longer than 1/10, then the app enables that without resorting to a physical filter.
