Prob need to drop the $$ and get that 16-35 F2.8 III, this was with the F4 16-35 Canon. The meteor broke into three parts, but just a streak here: by the way "neat image" is worth every penny if you're doing time lapse stuff!! Jul 03, 2017 16:36 | #3741 I have one completed, but it's going to sit here til I get a few more as I don't think most viewers enjoy only a 28 second video. Full moon in one week, so it'll prob have to wait until that subsides before I head back to shoot more from a few different angles. Hopefully the fire smoke won't be as bad this year!!

Typically we have careless campers start fires every summer in the mountains. They are typically spread by the wind, and there you go. We also get the lightning induced fires as well. Every summer has something different though. Usually July - Sept are the worst times.

sandwedge Goldmember More info | Jul 14, 2017 17:04 | #3746 Three shots from Yellowstone this summer. I wasn't as happy with my shots this year as I was last year and would love to hear feedback about how I could do better next time. Unfortunately, I only got out one night this time. I missed a real opportunity: I got there May 26th. On the night of the 27th, it was a really clear night, but I was tired and figured I'd have lots more opportunities. Turns out that I slept through the northern lights that night (saw a photo someone had taken on their phone and it was awesome). I've never seen them and was super bummed (I also didn't feel the 4.4 magnitude earthquake in June even though a guy 40 yards from me did). 2. Old Faithful, different angle. Part of a timelapse I attempted. A plane flew through the frame during the eruption but is hidden behind the geyser here. IMAGE LINK: https://photos.smugmug.com …17-3258-3-XL.jpg&lb=1&s=A 3. Pelican Creek just before morning twilight. My memory of this picture will be of listening to a pack of coyotes grouping up not far from me.
