Good to hear vinz. You also need to be careful with the angle of the camera with this lens and shoot as level as you can when it's possible

Yah the level of the camera seems to work fine. I just need to raise it and using the LCD. Since i'm short more ground are in the frame lol.

For those of you that have or plan on getting the Laowa 15mm wide angle macro lens, I was able to find a lens profile by using the free Adobe Lens Profile Downloader program. I've included a screenshot showing the lens profile found. Unfortunately, no author is given so I don't know who to credit for creating the profile. It seems to work fine for unshifted images.

Here's the link to the program:

Guys, Luminar is out in beta for Windows. This is made by MacPhun. It's another image editor in case you wanted to try it for free.

Suffered the heat today, close to 90F here in the humid east.
Poof woke me up around 1430 saying a juvenile is here. So with sleep in the
eye out the door I ran. If you look closely you'll see a raw chicken leg in the talons.

Forgot to mention, it is because of the a9 that the 1DXii is now sold. I've shot enough to know that the a9
can do anything the 1DXii can do just faster :) Some would say Canon has the long glass, true but I'm not
toting a 500mm anymore. If I can't get the shot with 400 plus or minus a TC then so be it.

So the RTH above is a juvenile, my best guess is female. She doesn't know the world yet and flew/landed almost straight above our heads
20f/6m away, perfect for a portrait excepting the shade cover-

I just loaded it up...no issues but it really just seems like another plugin/preset machine...maybe I need to fiddle with it more...I just trialed On1AW too and felt the same...just nothing amazing enough to want to buy it.

Another from the sunflower farm...I know...monochrome with all those flowers...I like it better...with the FE 50, its razor sharp...just can't decide...I boxed it all up today...just can't decide what to do.

Don't usually like B/W but this one is beautiful. Her smile is 10 star and I like the flower bokeh.
Only thing I wonder about is her blurred hand? I probably would have cropped above the blurr and set her
to the left of the frame.....but what do I know about portraiture???

I'll keep messing with Luminar but yes that's the impression I got too. Lots of presets. I do like that is layer based like On1.

Nice b&w portrait of your daughter. I shot with the 85 GM once. I was impressed with it's performance and bokeh.

A couple of sunrise shots from Auckland this morning.
2 row, 7 shot pano of Westhaven Marina. I set up my pano head last night for the Batis 18mm after I forgot to take it out with me for the astro this weekend. Certainly makes stitching easier :)

And as a reference, a single 30 second shot with the Nisi ND filter. Blew out the sun though :( Interesting to see the different smoothing in the clouds.
