A couple of Puffins from the Farne Islands off the Northumberland Coast, England. Definitely a place to see and photograph birds in flight as there are thousands all around you.

Great shot!

Would you like to talk about your experience with the X-T2 for birding? How does it compare to Canon gear?

For a big slow bird like an osprey, it does pretty well. It focuses pretty quick and stays locked on. For anything faster or more erratic, my Canon gear would still be the choice, like a harrier in the grass for example. I didn't have the battery grip on it, which should make it focus faster, and I will try that out this fall during the raptor migration.

The Fuji files are awesome, but I still won't be selling my 5dIV or 7DII anytime soon.

OK, thanks! It is great to see the advances being made in mirrorless, but for some applications, we need to wait a bit longer.

Look closely at the talons and you'll see a piece of chicken.
This is a juvenile the adults are having difficulty driving away.

I am convinced these are the house-trained, pet hawks that you keep around in your backyard and they come to you on commands! ;-)a
Pet hawks or not, this is a great shot. Very well done!

Haha! Pets? No, they won't let me pet them nor would I want to but they do come by daily. Do you know about the place in Wales where they feed Red Kites? Hundreds are there daily feeding off beef fed to them by the staff there. That's my goal! 100 RTHs in the backyard :)

When I saw the thread title, my first thought was it was about girls on trampolines. :-)

Hummers, Arizona.

Elinchrom ELC 1000 Strobe. Nikon D300. 1/5000 f5ish. Blew away ambient. Hummers don't fly at night.
