While visiting a friend at his rural home, was able to get 2 firsts!

Believe it or not, I had never even seen a Bluebird! He enjoys several families every year.

And the Redheaded WP is a regular, too.

This gentleman is a very knowledgeable bird watcher, including the songs/calls. But is not a photographer, so I loaned him my 40D to play with while recovering from foot surgery. I just might get him hooked!

I will be visiting again in the near future.
Thanks for looking.

Great birds, Rog. But I gotta say if you've never seen a bluebird, you need to get out of the house more! :-)

Great stuff Rog. I must say to that I have only seen three or four bluebirds in my life. They are scarce in Nova Scotia, and for some reason don't nest in my immediate area.

They probably decided it was not a good idea to raise their young amid those"huge white-headed things" flying around everywhere. :-)
Thank you, Ian.
