Personally I hate all this "proprietary this" and "proprietary that" crap. Specially in group events or workshops where everyone has different gear. Nothing plays nice with anything and it becomes a challenge just to find the right combinations for people to use the equipment. That's why I like 'dumb' triggers with manual controls the best. No need to worry about compatibility issues.

If only they would settle on one "standard" for everything. Wouldn't that be great? If only... (heavy sigh)

It does not speak Canon RT. There is also the problem of frequencies and the Canon uses 2.4GHz and PW uses 344MHz/433MHz.

I still keep plain old pocket wizards Plus IIs for that. Now I have sold my ABs and have Godox lights. For my classes I picked Canon, Nikon and Sony versions of their X1 transmitters. They are only $50 a piece and nothing needed on the Rx side. I am happy.

It says compatible with the canon rt speedlites does then mean no interference and you still need a flex under the rt speedlites or does it speak canon rt?

If the later I'll buy one when I get some rats. If not I'll wait until I buy a camera that the ttl5 flex and ttl1 mini doesn't work with.

If it speaks the canon rt that will allow rt with non canon lites like my Elinchrom

Unless you are using multiple brands of flashes, why would you want to use a Pocket Wizard Flex with a Canon 600 EX-RT? Purchase a Canon ST-E3 RT Transmitter.

Buy the Phottix Laso receiver instead, which integrates with and operates on the Canon RT system. I use it to trigger my Quadras using a Canon 600 EX-RT as the transmitter. Of course you can also use the ST-E3-RT. Naturally no TTL control of the Quadras, but they fire without the need for separate transmitter rigged to the camera along with the on-camera flash. The Laso will also 'transform' the older Canon 580 flashes, allowing remote TTL or manual control over the Canon RT system.

I'll be getting a TT6 today - I already have a bunch of TT5 receivers and so it makes no sense for me to dump them all and fork out for another system.
