I just looked for Hangar 360. Is that an Apple app? I could not find it for my droid.

Well I could post a picture of mine but it would only look like this one.

First flight in the house ߘ
That is a heavy rug lifting I front. Can wait to the weekend to get it outside.

I'll probably bring a DSLR with me and get some shots of it in the air. I'm still learning how to use it. I had it out for about an hour this morning and then another hour this afternoon. Thank goodness I bought 2 batteries. As soon as I get the controls down, I'll be doing some action photos.

Anyway, I am sure this thread is for photos like this...

Wait...

  • Birds in Flight' is shots OF birds, not shots FROM birds
  • 'Airplane closeups' are tight shots OF aircraft, not tele shots FROM aircraft
  • 'car racing' photos are shots OF cars in speed competition, not shots taken FROM those cars of audience watching
  • 'Wildlife photography' are shots OF various wildlife, not shots taken FROM the backs of wildlife

...so why is 'drone photography' suddenly shots FROM drones?!

High altitude photos would be more interesting if they were done over nude beaches, IMHO
 :p

Easily because pictures of drones would get quite boring. There's a lens thread on here that is a little boring when you see 200 photos with a 50mm 1.2L lens in it.... gets kind of boring to look at.

Also, shots FROM birds... OK, you're being funny I hope... Otherwise, I'm going to figure out how to capture one of the vultures around here and strap a GoPro to it and live stream THAT! :)

Nice shot, with compositional elements in the frame which serve to lead your eye around, rather than your eye planted on the almost-bullseyed drone. And nicely suspended in the air rather than staticly poised on a tabletop or ground, with a touch of rotor motion to impart the sense of action. Nicely done.
But where are the nudes on the beach?

Well, from the look of it you probably got some nice pictures. If you're new to all of this like I am I would suggest watching videos on how to use the app. I'm assuming you're using the DJI go app. There are videos on YouTube that describes every setting in the app. I learned a lot watching those videos. Just search 'DJI go app' on YouTube.

My guess is that you were in camera mode and need to switch to video mode in the app.

Yeah, ive watched a bunch of spark related videos, need to just watch the dji go app ones...i'm pretty sure there was a point where it switched from video to camera, as the FOV changed, and i noticed that in videos i watched when i got home

I have not flown my P3P much this summer.

A local photog friend went big and purchased an Inspire 2 with X5 camera, so he made me a nice deal on his P4P.

I've only flown it a couple times, but it seems more stable than the P3P and the camera is a welcomed upgrade (though I always want more!)

Here's a pano shot from above my backyard.

thanks...i think the small size is a bonus for portability...and the fact it seems to go as high as the mavic is nice too...i've yet to go the 1.2 miles away though...one of these days i'll feel more comfortable with it...

here's a few more:
