Hah, never seen the embed image tool on the bottom left of the post area until now. It will help with the troubleshooting on my end.

Still, not entirely sure why it is saying no response, zero bytes received. If I do a curl call on the HTTPS url, it returns 200 HTTP code with the correct mime-type:

[edit: davesrose later found that I had inadvertantly changed only one of two 'https' references to 'http' in the second image's link; fixing it made the send image appear correctly]

Wilt, I see that your second link still has https . You need to change the link inside the image bracket to be nonsecure (http).

Hi Pete. I checked your link and see that it goes to your site's cPanel admin login. The image seems to be in your public_html root folder. I'd create an images folder in that public_html folder, and then if you know your domain, it would be domain.com/images/your​image.jpg

I suspect this is damage control on their part. One bad decision caused everybody a lot of grief, including them.

Photobucket still is working fine for me, although I have a 'free' account but pay the small monthly feed for 'ad free' status. I have done research into a number of alternatives to Photobucket, but have not yet chosen a hosting site, as the site I prefer is relying upon a 'patch' to work properly with POTN so I am not rushing to start paying for and using that hosting site.

Thanks. I'm the 50 plus and can link but I sure won't pay $39 a month. If it goes south I will look into setting up a secondary site at Zenfolio like Jake (I believe) suggested. I may just explore that. Been a little nuts lately maintaining my house and cottage but finally getting a break from that.
