I am also in love with this lens, for its weight and its versatility. Attached to the 1.4xiii and my 7dii, my entire rig weighs 7 1/2 pounds, light enough for me to hand hold, even with my arthritic fingers, for portraits or BIF. These two are from Padre Island National Seashore, near Corpus Christi, TX.

This Great Blue Heron was close, but unconcerned about me, nearly zero crop:

This Brown Pelican, part of a small flock, that flew up the beach, straight at us, another mild crop:

Still learning to handle the 2xiii, however, the 1.4xiii suits my needs and skills almost perfectly.

Sanil you might find it of interest, over the last two months I've divest all my EOS kit
and my a-mount kit, but I've kep the 400DOii, no other lens like it in the world!
Luckily for me it works a charm with the Sony a9. Maybe someday Sony will give up
a native e-mount 400, then I'll have big decision to make :(
