after a disastrous day out thursday i came to the conclusion that due to lack of use since i bought it ,that i had the 1Dmkiv set up entirely wrong ,as although close ups were good anything at a distance in flight was mush . i spent the evening reading up on canons advice re-settings and altered a few things to suit .these are a few test shots done yesterday and it looks like i have conquered the beast .
a couple of sample images from the change to settings below ,both hand held with the sigma 150-600 sport
