More great shots, Bob. When I was a kid, my mom had a bird field guide and I recall being fascinated with the illustrations of Belted Kingfishers and Barn Owls. What a nifty species they are and you are very fortunate to be able to connect with them as you have.

thanks Al- I got very lucky with these owls- hope to get more shots of them. as for kingfishers, I love to watch them too but never really have been able to get good shots at them. can't wait till they come back down this year
