I just finished a week long, 3500 mile road trip starting in Amarillo, TX and taking Route 66, plus going to Santa Fe (most beautiful city I have ever seen), and than headed down to White Sands and Carlsbad Caverns

A great set of photos that brings back memories.

When I was a kid in 1965 our family drove route 66 from Los Angeles to Chicago as a summer vacation.
My parents, myself and two sisters in dad's new 1965 Chevy station wagon. What a great experience that was.
One I will never forget. I remember seeing many motels along the way that are similar to your photos.

Thanks for sharing.

I love Route 66.

But 3500 miles in just a week? That's a heck of a lot of windscreen time. I bet you were about wore out by the end. :-(

Remember what the DorMouse said.....feed your head.
