If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

this would look much better if she was looking into the frame, not out of it. :)

So does that mean you couldn't have framed it differently? I guess I don't understand why that would be the case.

Chris does make a good point.

I think it might mean that he's not shooting a model, but just someone from the public who he wouldn't give instructions too.

I stopped on the coast and while walking among the rocks, this little guy caught my eye. He was in a crevice. I had to crop the shot although the picture was taken with a 180mm Tamron macro lens, he wouldn't let me get any closer!. The image is fairly sharp even though it is cropped to about 25% of the original size. The fact that it is ISO 100 + ETTR helped it retain most of the details. Also, the shot is taken with Magic Lantern and Dual ISO, which means the highlights were exposed to ISO 100 and the shadows at ISO 800. Shot is available light on a tripod, I took about 20 shots and this is one of the very few where both its eyes are in focus, it kept moving. This particular shot was 1/5sec at F11.

The Great Blue plops in and picks up a nice sized fish for himself. Then suddenly he drops it and makes a hasty exit and not a full second after he got out of the way this Osprey swoops in and makes the snatch. You can see the fish still laying on the surface by the Blue's feet as he is leaving.

After going back and forth between the original 6D and the mk2 version I decided to go with the good old original 6D.
I guess the expectations set by the first 6D were way high and everyone's expecting the mk2 to do miracles. While it is definitely an improvement it is not ground breaking and for me those improvements don't justify the extra cost. After all, I just wanted to finally get a FF camera. Are you guys going to upgrade? Judging by the images in the thread the original 6D is still a great camera for the money.

Anyway, just ordered, can't wait for the delivery! :-D
Will definitely contribute the thread once I get something nice out of it :)
