Nice shots!

What an extreme competition though! Gotta be fearless to be in that sport. I admit I kinda freak out when the floor boards of my cruiser scrape the pavement on a turn at 20 mph lol!

What are the benefits or adavantages of having the original foot replaced like Kirk LP-53

Using an alternate foot does two things;

It usually reduces weight (in the case of this older lens, but quite a bit!)

It adds an arca dovetail to the foot itself, = no plate required, which adds to the "less weight" equation, and it more reliable/durable and lower profile than the original foot with a plate attached..

Also you can decide to buy one with a lower profile and longer length for more adjustable center of gravity. I used the 4th Generation Design foot on mine, and it was much lower profile than the rest and quite long.

(images in my old for sale thread show how close to the body and how long the 4th gen foot is)

It has been a while but I was in Slovenia for the bears a couple of weeks ago.

FB has shredded the EXIF but they are all 500 f4 at f4, 5DIV, ISO1250, 1/250sec

The hood still went on in reverse,. if I recall correctly, it results with the foot being inside the reversed hood due to the very low profile.
