Haumoana - lots of cars today which means some surf.

Unfortunately I had left the 55 - 200 n the dining table, so the longest I had was the wonderful 50 stm f/1.8 ... so some big crops.

Forecast temperature was 11 deg cent , but it felt warmer than that today .. but would have been freezing in the water, even with a wet suit. I mentioned that to another onlooker, and his response was that surfing is a sort of addiction :-) certainly I saw people coming out of the water and sitting in their cars with the heater on, and shivering.

Clive - again! Sunset ...SNS 1 shot HDR. All with the kit 15 -45 f/3.5 - 6.3. I always feel I need to do more with shots taken with this lens in LR ... contrast, clarity, vibrance and some times HSL.

11 degrees is not bad for winter, it was only 15 or so here today and it's the middle of summer!

Whilst you're at it, there must be a slider in LR somewhere to level the horizons. It would make them heaps better.

All four are nice but I do really like the soft blueness in the middle two.

Pretty typical scene at Haumoana ... the two in scene both caught four or five fish each.

A friend calls this area :hobo land" .. it's white bait stands across the Tukituki:
