In my case, I'm using Nissin flashes and the Air 1 Commander to control them wirelessly. I now have three Di700a's and just recently acquired, the i60a.

What's the main difference between the i40 and the i60 and the di700?

Size, output, and compatibility with the Air 1 Commander for wireless shooting. I'd have to look it up for the exact numbers but the i40 has the lowest output of the 3 flashes and no wireless capability. The i60a does have it and is larger than the i40 but smaller than the Di700a. It also has a small video light. I just wanted to have a smaller flash than the Di700a's for those times I wanted/needed it but still be useful in my wireless flash system.

Dont mind saying it again Vinz, but your portrait work is nonpareil. Of course it helps you have an angel to work with but you
do have the eye. I did tell Poof that you make a living doing this work to which she said you are a natural.

Here's another shot of my 'model' :-) from a lower angle and after moving lights around a little. I like the horse shoe shaped label better on this one and the light details the 'dimples' in the bottle better too. There is a hot spot that bothers me a little though.

Well I could do something with your model whereas Vinz's model would get me in serious trouble! Classic lighting too Gene. I really am limited in
my photography (freaking birds/bugs) and need to branch out. One day I'm going to ask you all the stuff (lightboxes/umbrellas/etc.) I need to try
this genre.

Amazing catures, MM! Looks like that 100-400 is working for you. That's going to be my next purchase.

Well at FredMiranda those that dissect to the bone are finding some focus issues with some copies. So far I'm seeing no issues from close focus to
far away, snappy focus with 1.4 or 2.0, and just a sharp lens from 100 to 400. The weight is so nice, me knowing I shed 8 ounces over the EOS 100-400ii.
Sadly there is no LensCoat available (yet) and will probably be a while. Some complained about the monies but when you pick this lens up you'll know the
monies are well spent.
Now tomorrow I want to shoot for first time without a TC :)
and I want to put it on the a6500 for first time. Now I've satisfied my need to know about BIF with it and the a9 I can go back to the little birds.

That's fair logic. I just did the same. I want the new Metabones V for the 400DOii and waited. Today someone on FM bought
my Metabones IV.
Scroll down here to see why. You can't do this with the MB IV :(
Now how often will I ? Probably once, but I'd hate to miss the griz because I didn't.

I'd be glad to offer any help I can whenever you'd like it, Robert. If you scroll through my Flickr Photostream pages, you'll note that probably more than 95% of everything I shoot now is in, around or nearby my home. I enjoy shooting macro, the odd portrait or two and static flash 'product' photographs and are my main interest anymore due to health reasons and not being as mobile as I'd like.

Nadim I'm really happy with the godox/flashpoint system. They have a very comprehensive selection of gear from mini speedlights, speedlights, compact strobes, and full blown strobes that all work together wirelessly. They're also priced cheaper than comparable products while working just as well or better.

Had a bad day hiking was going to test the 12-24 on petroglyphs but monsoon rains had the river swollen so they closed the road. I could have made it across with the jeep but I saw a lot more clouds forming and figured with my knee recovery I better just give up. So I drove some back roads.... we have great names for roads in arizona .....Bloody Basin rd. Horse Theif Basin, Bumble Bee

On the way I found a young hawk on a pole. Pulled out the 6500 and the Tamron 150-600 v1 and did my best. Bird was about 150 yards out and there was a lot of heat bout 104 degrees. So between my shaky the heat and the distance these are not sharp but I do love that the set up can get the BIF

At the security checkpoint? You had to unbag every lens?

no, they just went through half of my stuff, they unbagged it themselves and they took extra long, however, I'm ok with it. I had a plan, but it went to the gutter with the baby running around, I just left my entire bag with all electronics. They only checked half the ipad's with some sort of wipe, and half of my camera gear for whatever reason. I did note that one of my cameras was on my belt setup, and I put the belt on the conveyor, they didnt bother with it. I would have ended up with way too many buckets, so I just left everything in my backpack.
