American white pelicans

The American white pelican is not normally found in this part of the state, but for the past two summers, flocks of these large birds have been seen in a couple of places in the northern Puget Sound region. I went out this afternoon to see if I could find them... It wasn't difficult!

Very cool Rocky. Yes big birds and they do a lot of sitting and preening. Try to get some shots when they're looking for food. They can be very entertaining.
