Speaking of mossies, we've got this devil mosquito....really small, but packs a serious wallop with a resultant small white influration and
intense itching. I can't go out without taking 10-20 hits in 10 min's.
A new species of mossie? I like the old models, big enough to swat to oblivion....these new models are even hard to see.

I hear ya,.. The bugs here are not going away till the snow flys. The black fly is hanging on with the Mosquito buzzing around your head while deer flys and horse flys take chunks of meat as they leave. Hoping for snow soon lol

Another one I've been hoping to catch. We have one that shows up here from time to time, but not close enough to make a difference. They are so beautiful.

Nice job, though I'm jealous.... again. ;)

Thanks Kim, I shot three yesterday morning, this one in the shadows of the tree's, Made for better images I think. I worked my way up to this guy over about half an hour until I was 6 or 8 feet hiding myself with a large pine. he knew I was there but was not alarmed at all. when I was done I just backed out leaving him to his destruction of this pine lol. He almost never looked at me which made for not so great images.

Great picture. Is this local to you? You have eagles flying around Hercules? I need to pay you a visit.
