This is from about an hour ago. The only nice part about the humidity from a tropical storm down south is the nice sunsets.

This isn't your traditional sunset. This is almost SOOC, shot with a polarizer almost straight into the sun. The result was unexpected and I thought it was kinda cool. Santa Catalina Island is in the distance.

Traffic prevented me from getting home early enough to get better images. (I guess it was my fault for leaving work late.)

QUOTED IMAGE

It was peaking just as I got home from dinner. I ran inside to grab the camera and just stood there for about 15 minutes snapping periodically as it changed. I should have run back to get my 70-200 but I didn't want to miss anything.

I also posted this in the mobile pic thread. One of my favorites from the iPhone 6S. Cooked a bit in Camera Raw but nothing too crazy.

Nicely done, phone pics look too mushy on larger screen imho.

Yeah I think anything viewing above 50% on screen starts to show what I call the "oil painting" effect. Wouldn't matter if it was a 50mpx image, you still get that smoothing and lack of detail.
