The B1s are nice in several ways. If you have a compatible camera, you can use TTL to set a base exposure and switch to manual. I don't use this, but it's a cool feature. The single unit makes them quick to set up. I like the little grid set which just snaps on without adding a reflector. The connecting system is the best.
What I don't like: they make the setup more top-heavy because all the weight is on top. A studio where I work bought a bunch of B1s and B2ss direct and had tons of problems (chargers which failed to charge, bad batteries, issues with remotes that wouldn't work properly). I was shocked, given Profotos reputation. They were able to get the bad units replaced, although it was not quick. Not sure if this is isolated, but they bought a lot of units and many had problems. I am not enamored of the "contained" flash tube--I prefer a bare bulb, which works better in modifiers I favor.
My personal gear is a hybrid system of Godox for really light weight and Elinchrom Ranger RX AS for when I want power. My modifiers are Elinchrom (with adapters for Godox). The Ranger is heavier than the B1, but it packs more power, and just at that sweet spot when competing with the sun. The head weight is low. Some would find it too heavy--I just think of it as not needing sandbags 
. I use the battery to weight the stand and the head is light. Fully extended stand with boom arm and 150cm deep octa? No problem. . The Elinchroms have a reputation in the action sports community for being more robust than Profoto. Elinchrom is releasing a lighter version, the 1200 ELB, any day now . I prefer the lighter head option when a VAL is holding the head and modifier on the end of a pole. VAL= Voice Activated Lightstand aka assistant
But the B1 is just a touch quicker to set up in quick configurations and this can make a difference. It's a matter of knowing your working style and priorities.
This isn't to say that one is "better" than the other for the OP or anyone else. The trick is to understand the trade-offs as well as you can and make the best choice for your working methods.
Based on the OPs stated reasons, the B1 sounds like a better fit. But many other people read these threads as the months roll on (and the OPs priorities may change over time).
Broncolor offers a portable option worth considering at a price point which is less insane than the typical Broncolor pricing . I have no direct experience to report on Broncolor.
