Used the Canon 2xII extender for this shot. I hardly ever use it but when I do the results are usually better than I expect. At least when paired with the 300/4.

Great crested grebe.
Taken late in the day.

Funny I spent 4 days hunting bird's in one of the best places to find them, and find myself glad to be back in the land of the birds at home.

Superb photo..., how does little owl manage in UK..? Here in DK it is nearly extinct. Only a handfull of breeding pairs...!
