This is a little water mill near my house. I was able to fly around from the backside on the highway to get this shot.

And this is an above shot of my home and some of my neighbors homes. I was at 400 feet. I couldn't get the camera to tilt up for some reason. I'm headed out there again to see if I can get the app to work right. I believe it crashed (the app, not the drone...).

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

Not the best video but it's one of my first. I need to practice turning slower and not so jerky. But I'm getting better from my first video.

Being curious, if FAA says 400' is the max altitude permitted, just how does the user/drone adhere to that altitude limitation???
Visual adherance is fraught with poor ability of the user to assess altitude with accuracy.
A drone would need an altimeter which sets 'zero' at time of take-off for the atmospheric pressure at ground level (no matter what ground elevation happens to be)

If the drone goes outside of the range of the transmitter, does it simply lower itself to the ground when it is 'out of range', and it is the burden of the user to figure out where the heck it landed?!

The app shows the height, distance, speed of the quadcopter. The Phantom 4 pro has the ability to automatically return to home (original take off spot). This happened to me when the app crashed on my phone. I need to get a better device for this to prevent this from happening. But when it lost contact with the drone the controller brought it back home.

one of my favorite features of the mavic pro is the ability to shoot in portrait orientation which gives you the opportunity to make panoramas

Just found this thread. I've only been flying for about 10 hrs so far. Here are a few shots I've done in that time. These are all around Milwaukee.

I wasn't even aware of the Mavic's ability to shoot portrait mode. I need to spend more time with my drone.

One of my better captures with the Magic. This was on my Mavic I had focus issues with...

Just got my Mavic a few days ago and boy is it a huge step up from the Quanum Nova I was flying for a few years prior. Still need to work on fine tuning some of the gimbal and camera settings but overall it's an amazing piece of technology!

Took her up over Boothe Memorial Park in Stratford, Connecticut, USA last night and captured these images:
