I have encountered this problem for the last couple of days. I use the code to embed the photo from flickr selecting the right size (1024), and then it doesn't work, as the forum tells me that the image is too large. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't

The photo that you are trying to post that didn't post is definitely 2048x1365 pixels. Somehow you have gotten the wrong code for it.

Easiest method is to paste a Flickr gallery page url (address) to the EMBED IMAGE field in post editor, and click FETCH. Then click the resulting thumbnail for bbcode. That tool fetches the largest allowed size for that photo.

That's what i am doing and always have done. select photo in flickr, bbcode for 1024, copy, paste in fetch and it usually worked. The same image from the first post (the kiss), was not allowed due to size, with the same bbcode, on a different thread. Maybe Flickr is messing up the codes

This is the exact same link (bbcode) as in the first post for the kissing photo, and it is not accepted now

Ok,

This is weird, on the preview (before hitting submit) it tells me that it is not valid, but then, it looks like it is!

Actually it is not the same bbcode. Definitely there needs to be something wrong with Flickr

Well I have just tried embedding a couple of images from your Flickr account and they work as they should providing you select the correct image size.

I don't know, I never had this issue before. Amyways, it is not life or death!

Would it have to do with the album i'm linking to being private?

Do not paste the bbcode to fetch, paste the flickr gallery page address there, like

https://www.flickr.com …cubatahavana/35462428044/ (external link)

Pasting the bbcode to fetch is equal to just adding direct img url img tags. The automatic size and page info retrieve that the fetch can do needs to "see" the actual gallery page.
