I thought I had dust on my sensor on a couple of shots...... no just flies. Only a face a mother could love.

I took this lens to the races, hand held, performed like a dream.

I just recently acquired this monster, and am shooting a lot, but I mostly post in the Bird Portrait thread haha

I'm still coming to grips with handholding this lens. It's so much heavier than the 400 DO II I've been shooting!!! But, man, the results have been simply fantastic.

It's been far too long since I posted something. Here's one of many from this past weekend.

So how do they let you get that close? Are they used to people around or just good camo/technique/luck?

Amazing shots/Perfect light! Only thing to top that would be a horizontal pan/motion blur chase/kill shot!!!

I guess he thought he was well hidden!
Honestly, I've noticed that the big cats aren't really scared of much. (lions even less so)

This was just timing. Hiding in a tree, we could drive up to the tree pretty close (this is 700mm with a composition crop, probably chopped off about 1/5th of the image.) then we waited for it to come out.

Amazing shots/Perfect light! Only thing to top that would be a horizontal pan/motion blur chase/kill shot!!!

In my dreams... maybe some day!
