A hedgehog showed up in our garden yesterday evening as the light was failing, the first we've seen here for some nine years. I only managed a couple of shots before a cat spooked it and it ran into hiding..

That's wonderful, I don't think I have seen once since we moved out of Greater London nearly 20 years ago, possibly a lot longer.

I took my 7D mark II to the U.S. Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, California a few weekends ago. The camera plays well with the 400 L /5.6 lens. I was very happy with the results !

Looks like the Monarch butterflies are out in force. Got another dozen or so running amuck.

They're great. They eat the garden slugs. What's not to like?! Hehe! :-P

Thanks, Lester. Sadly, we have not seen it again, so I guess it has moved on.

Decided early in the morning to head up to Guilderton and make the most of the nice weather before the nasty storm arrives. Nearly 6 pm now and nothing has happened ye

Well, I was going to go take photos of a McNeese football scrimmage Saturday evening. About an hour and half before I was supposed to leave, I was walking down my hall and I stepped into a puddle of water that shouldn't have been there. Investigating and opening the A/C unit close door, I discovered that the drain that the A/C unit emptied into had clogged up. Water everywhere and under the carpet in a bedroom off the hall. So, instead of going to the scrimmage, I spent my time getting a plumber out to unclog the drain, vacuuming up water, and pulling up carpet. Bummer because I had been looking forward to that scrimmage for two weeks.

I did make it to Media Day Sunday, but that is more like work with a bunch of posed photos of players and coaches. I did take one crappy photo of the new stripes on the helmets.

Oh, well, another scrimmage next Saturday.

Hello Portsmouth man.
I live in the PO post code area.
Care to tell me where you go to shoot kingfishers?

I've seen them at Langstone harbour.
