The cpl must have been what caused the banding. I hope you don't mind but I did a quick sky replacement for your image and brought some of the darkness back into the shadows as well. I think that helps give the image a bit more 'pop'.

Wow what a difference!
Sky replacement ??
How hard is that.
Made a huge difference Gene.

Best stick to what I know for now.
And for those of you considering the FEGM100-400 my feeling is that is
is a gem. Many a Canon big white could take a teleconverter eh, and even then
2.0 tc's were to be avoided. The only zoom I ever used that could even handle
a 1.4 properly was the EOS 100-400ii.
The new Sony zoom is so so so sharp from the get-go
if you have light (still F11) the 2.0 works a charm.

Since I still had my lighting setup from those green and blue glasses, I thought I'd shoot my glass knives that I also enherited from my great aunt. Sadly, it wasn't a complete set when I got them in 1968 and are even fewer today.

Is that true for both the A9 and the A7RII?

EDIT: by that I mean does it do as well on both the A9 and the A7RII?

Tim,
I don't think the a7Rii's AF system can handle F11, I think it tops out at F8 for any kind of performance.
Honestly I haven't tried with the a7rii, I think I read at FM that it will focus but maybe way slow.

OK again thanks to Gene.
I tried and tried with Landscape Pro 2 but the colors were all goofy.
Gene mentioned color replace in PScc which I did.
Also worked on my verticals a git.
All in all a great exercise.

Now the house was shot with the a7Rii + b18 but the EXIF only reveals the EXIF of the camera
used to shot the sky....so another puzzle to puzzle out :)

That's probably because you drug the house image onto the sky image rather than the other way around. The exif will always be that of the original file, even if you drag another image onto it.

Another mystery solved! I wondered about that but could never find any documentation.

I bought a9 for birds/wildlife where I think it will shine but might need some accessory lenses. Thinking
almost pocketable types. I bought an open box 35/2.8 which is fine for my occasional use but today played
with the SEL 35/1.8-
