can anyone tell me why all of a sudden my stitched panos are uploaded to Flickr are not as sharp as the original on my Mac? I had to get a new computer and the display is crazy sharp but still...the pano shots are noticeably softer when put on Flickr...actually unusable.
Thanks

Edit.....one thing that has changed is that I cannot seem to add my Flickr account to this iMac in order to quickly publish from photos. I have to drop and drag into the Flickr site uploader. Maybe this is a prob. I've searched the net and this seems to be a prob with Mac. Wasn't an issue with my last machine but this one is giving me issues.

Sorry for off "Sony" topic but thought you folks might have some thoughts.
Thanks

Are you manually resizing the photo before uploading to Flickr or are you letting Flickr do the resize for you?

OK, I'm convinced. Now to sell off my remaining Canon gear. Geez, I hate to go through the hassle of the selling game.

Been waiting on the 100-400 v1 to sell for over a month now. Is it just me or things are not moving as they used to on FM. It's my last Canon lens and I'll be joining the ranks of the FE 100-400 owners soonafter.

Last chance for a peep here. $825.00 for the 70-300 ....... $545.00 for the Tamron V1 150-600 A mount.

Going to Ebay next week with them otherwise. Had a few runs at them on FM but like 300 for the tammy and 600 for the 70-300 .... I can load them on Ebay and make more that way.

Sigh selling stuff is sooooo much fun

Off to the eclipse tomorrow might not be on the comp till Wed AM

Maybe I should go the ebay route. Never been a fan of ebay, but I might have to bite that bullet.

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

I think that could be the problem. I normally resize in Photoshop to 2048 on the long edge and upload. I then post a 1024 size here and if on FM post a 1600 size and they seem close to the IQ of the original. Previously I noticed when I uploaded a full res image to Flickr and then posted a 1024 here it looked degraded

Mickey that was so long ago :(
Speaking of the a77, the a77ii went with the a99ii to the new owner, my personal physician took
it all. He's my beekeeping buddy so I'm sure to get a lot of questions. What sold it was I took
a picture of him sitting inside the house as ISO 25K, processed it in front of him in PScc and he
was amazed to get a useable image. He was shooting with a 10+ year old Nikon that capped him
at ISO 800!!

I'm not going to lie, I feel a little greedy upgrading from a77--->a77ii--->a99ii over the past 20 months. The a77 was a darn fine body for the $379 I picked it up for from Adorama used. The a77ii was a step up, but was for most of what I used it for the difference wasn't real big from the a77. That's not to say there wasn't a difference, though, because there was. Obviously, consolidating bodies and getting the a99ii served multiple purposes, but i almost feel guilty having this much camera shooting as little as I do right now. That could change, of course, and I may go shoot some HS football one of these Fridays.

The a99ii is such a beast, your poor doc is going to need some help along the way! I can imagine his shock watching you process an acceptable snap shot of him that would be out of the question with his decade-old gear. He's going to have so much fun once he gets a handle on the gear, system, etc . . .

We've had our upstairs hurricane shutters on the west side of the house since Hurricane Matthew, and a group of toads has been hanging out between the window and the shutter for months. It is a climb of about 18' up to get there.

one of my mates who shoots Fuji asked to go out with him this morning for a sunrise shoot as part of #fujiworldphotodaynz

Pretty much all people shooting Fuji, but I had a go with my Sony and B18 and happy with the results :)

Had to laugh at the guy with the Fuji GFX telling me I must be into property development to afford my Batis lol

Nice!

I'm still waiting to sell off stuff before taking the plunge. Haven't really changed much in my gear since last year other than slowly getting rid of the Canon leftovers.

Will be curious to hear your opinion on the 12-24 after you've put it through its paces.

The filter situation turns me off it for now. But I may be open to it eventually. Hard to replace the B18 and B25 at the moment though.

Been working hard on trying to improve my portrait skills (all new to me) since I've been completely uninspired to go out shooting outdoors lately.

Finally managed to get something decent playing in the garage (home studio) with the Godox 860 and a reflector.

Intentionally going for a gritty B/W self-portrait.
