I have been following this wonderful thread for quite some time but have only recently acquired this lens used but in good condition. I'm really enjoying it. It is early days yet and I have a lot to learn in terms of long lens technique.
From my first real outing with the lens. Canon 6D, both with Canon EF 1.4iii TC attached. Blacksmith lapwing chicks.

Photographed some African Paradise flycatchers in a small reclaimed forest in the heart of Durban, a large City in South Africa. I found the dimly lit forest habitat quite challenging to photograph in with lots of blurred images at ISO 3200 (Wide open at f5.6 with the 1.4 TC iii on - perhaps a mistake). These are a few of the better ones with NR applied.

More long crested eagle through dense vegetation this time. All of these (and the previous two) at 700mm with the 1.4 iii extender on. He looks decidedly unimpressed with my presence on the last image:-)
