First, I just want to say that I was left speechless by the sight of totality. I don't think there's a photographer alive that could capture totality the way it looks (and feels) live. The best way I can describe it is "Insanely Beautiful".

My plan was to shoot a timelapse (which may or may not have turned out - I haven't checked) with one camera, and to shoot a sequence of partiality both before and after totality. However, after totality, I found myself just sitting in my chair, just amazed by the experience. I truly didn't care about partial eclipse photos after that. After a while, I spent my time talking with others who had watched. Made some friends today from across the country.

I was worried that I had gotten so caught up by the hype that I might be let down by totality. Instead, it was even better than I had hoped.

Ach... how did I miss them? I did go through the thread before posting my comment above, you know? Maybe they were right about not watching the eclipse with bare bulb eyes.

I agree, great shot.
I attempted a wide angle shot also. But it was one of the most challenging images I have ever taken. There are so many factors involved. I will post once I get back home tomorrow.
