So excited. I am checking status every 10 minutes :), telling my wife to lower the volume of the tv make sure they hear the doorbell lol. I told her it requires a signature.

That's what I had Fedex do for my CPS loan that arrived today. I had a meeting at 10 and it was supposed to arrive by 10:30, wasn't risking it.

What are we looking at in image #4. I must watch too much Discovery Channel, it looks like mined gold.

First Solar Eclipse.... I'm truly at a loss for words. Easily the most amazing thing I've seen with my own eyes, still in disbelief!

Modified a buff white 22" beauty dish to bowens mount. I've had that thing for 3 years and never used it and was finally able to break it in tonight. Super simple setup just the beauty dish and a single V860 for the background. I'm still a newb so be gentle but always CC welcomed. 99.98% sooc.

Nice job Tally! It's funny how your 85 says 24mm in exif..
Do you have room to get her further off the background for some fall off? I think a little more separation between the two, her/background would help..

Thanks! I setup in my office. I keep a couple pieces of white board behind my desk/hutch and literally just slid it out and setup the one main and bq light. While not proper per se I was just messing around and captured some good expressions so I kept them.

She was about 4' off the BG and the main was 3' from her centered... nothing elaborate nor dramatic.

Thats why you see the white hot spot above her because that white board is reflective. For me to setup my seamless requires setting up in the living room then I have to move furniture around BUT if I take the time to do this I have a 24' long room to shoot with.

Just practicing ;)

Interesting, I assumed she was a lot closer!
You know how it is, just happy to have them even stand there with a smile!!
She was working it! Making memories!!

She was full of giggles... I don't hardly get that so I held onto it and lived with the lighting mistakes of just throwing somethign together to practice. Seems the more proper I try to setup the less interested they are.

These two shots however did not have the BG lit up if I remember right. When I lit the background up for some later shots the bright spot went away.

Here are two more samples.

Those eclipse photos are great. They sure weren't joking when they said "close isn't good enough". With 88%, it got a little darker outside, but the sun seemed just as bright so the filter had to stay on. Not dramatic at all, but I'll be ready for the one in 2024 passing right by me.
