gotta wonder why Sony made the battery charger for the a9 require a cord to plugin...Mindshift will love it, I will need another little bag to store the charger in!

Travis,

I had the same problem with the chargers for my 1DMkIV and my Fuji X-100s.

I found that an Apple adaptor (external link) will work just fine.

The good thing about the a9 charger is that it takes the same universal power cord that lots of other gear uses....i.e. lighting gear

The A9 is wild.... I have only set it up, and don't have light for 20 fps... But no blackout is cool, love having the joystick again... It will take some adjusting to get used to the layout and ergonomics... The grip is needed, especially for track days... So as soon as the 7D sells that will have to be added.

Thanks Charlie.

The bike is truly wonderful. Love it. I don't ride it nearly enough, but when it's hot like this (95 at the time with high humidity), the bike is the perfect outdoor enjoyment. It's a mountain bike, so it's not a speedy like a road bike - the slower gearing means I typically cruise at an easy 15 mph. But, even such slow speed is plenty for a consistently cooling breeze. It's when I stop to take a photo that I very quickly overheat.

Awesome shot David. I like the composition and the colors. I visited an old mill at Vickery Creek Falls in Roswell yesterday. It was hot like you said but the mill, large waterfall, river, and bridge were a real treat.

I've been enjoying the landscape opportunities around northern Atlanta. I've found a good balance of cityscape and landscape shooting during my stay so far. Shooting after work has been a great change of pace for me. Georgia is a wonderful place for photography so far. I still have downtown Atlanta to explore and some other areas like Stone Mountain.

When I return home I am going to get the Loxia 35. It would have been useful on my trip here. I think the Batis 18 and Laowa 12mm will be listed for sale soon. My most used lens so far has been the Loxia 21.

Thanks Alfredo. It's a single exposure, but I did run it through Photomatix to better work the tones and I think the software did a great job.

I think you're going to love the Loxia 35mm - I'll let you snap some shots with mine when we get the chance. I don't like it wide open, but stopped down it's flat amazing. *Heresy alert* I might even like it just a bit more than my Loxia 21mm! It's a bit early for me to be saying that, but that's the way I feel about it at the moment.
