A99 Mark II - Where are all the posts?

I'm still lurking

I made a trip to the Brevard Zoo in Viera today with the kids, and man was it hot/humid! As year- pass holders, we get a ton of mileage out of that little zoo.

Of course, shooting in a zoo isn't much of a challenge. Many of the animals practically pose for you. But trying to run and gun with my four and five-year old with me--and they usually are with me when I shoot--can be a tough balance.

The a7r was a poor run and gun body, but man was I hooked on the IQ. THE A77II was a great run and gun body, but didn't have that FF IQ in poor light. Enter the a99ii.

The kids wanted the wife to see pics of our adventures today, so we put them up on our 55" TV. SOOC /RAW. I'm stunned at the difference this body makes vs anything else I've shot there. I'm thinking the stabilization really is much improved from the a77ii. Getting used to the joystick as well.

I will try to get pics up tomorrow, and I hope my TV wasn't playing pics on me, but early returns are leaving me smiling.

Lots of keepers from the zoo and so little time to revisit my work--but here are some.

Helping clean some rhinos, no big deal.
