For the old car enthusiasts, a few quick shots from a local show this week.

2 E type jaguars:

2 shots of a Mercedes Tourer, apparently rebuilt onto a Buick chassis.

No the guy wasn't in the drivers seat, he was standing behind the car.

Getting the patio ready for a bonfire, boy is it dark... :)

Did a 3 stop push with the 7D2 before we started... the 7D2 doesn't like a 3 stop push at ISO 100, it gets a bit messy in the really dark areas. I hope the 7D3 sports the new sensor design. It would have been better to go to ISO 800 with a push all the way to the right edge, and then bring it back in raw, oh well worth the test. I have been shooting with the SL2 and it was time to dust off the 7D2.

What was the exif for this shot?
Not sure I am understanding your post without it.

It is a gif, there is no exif.

There is nothing to understand, I shot a back yard low light shot at ISO 100 1sec and pulled it up 3 stops just to see how far it could be pushed, since I have been doing the same with the SL2 to check its DR. This thread is a discuss and post pics, so it makes sense to periodically show how one can push the gear, so others can look through this thread and see what is possible. ;)

Not to mention, there are many threads active here and on FM talking about how the 7D2 cannot be pushed very hard. That simply isn't the case.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Thanks, Jack! The 500/4 II makes it easy. It only needs a gym membership! ;-)a
