Picked this up from Amazon for $65. Solid, three layers of foam (one pick and pluck) with an additional layer of egg-grate foam in the lid. Four solid latches and pressure relief valve.

Holds a good amount of gear. Below I have my Real Estate gear kit. 5D IV body with "L" plate, Sigma 12-24mm, Canon 16-35mm, and Tamron 24-70mm lenses, R2 (XT1) transmitter, two speed lights, two eVOLV 200 flash units with fresnel lens attached and bare bulb heads as well.

That looks pretty good. Thanks for posting this, I've been looking for something to just keep in my truck that can hold the things I don't want to constantly carry but want access to.

I looked at a lot of cases, just couldn't get past the $125-$175 price for comparable ones the same size. When I got it, it was "Prime" so I took a chance knowing I could send it back if it was flimsy or poor construction.

Nice and solid though, very happy with it and will probably get another for some other gear I have

Link didn't work for me but found it at https://www.amazon.com …ipment-Case/dp/B00QPQLWO6 (external link) for $60.

Where I once worked (instrument manufacturer) we compared this brand of case against brand "P" and about the only thing obvious was brand "P" has a metal strengthener where the lock can be used, this brand didn't seem to have that. The foam was more resilient as well which is good for shock absorption. Brand "P", in its standard foam was more rigid, although it can be ordered with many options.

Same position I'm in. I don't want to spend upwards of $150 for a case to sit in the storage area of my truck. :) I SHOULD have jumped on that 1510 deal they had going on overstock for a while.

I found one at Sams Club for $35 it nice and sturdy. They have a hard time keeping in stock but similar to Pelican cases. Its a great case for the money and IP55 rating so keeps out some water and dust.

For thr price of the one on Amazon you can get 2 and well for the price of the pelican you can get maybe 4 of them.

I was able to pickup two of the Pelican 1510 cases w/ dividers for 75ea a few months back on overstock. Might wanna give them a look as another option

My entire hobby of gear lust has temporarily been shifted into overload. Please be patient while my mind tries to get back onto the road to recovery. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause....
