My wife and I love Iowa. Lived there from 1976 - 1983. I worked for John Deere and had to leave because of the bad economy in the early '80s. Both of our kids were born in Waterloo. We've been in the Pacific Northwest for 25 years, but Iowa is still special. Thanks for sharing the photo.

Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

Im fron Texas buddy but i have to say, this is a special place! Ive only been around the Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, dyersville area but I'm impressed. I love the landscapes around here. Anywhere you go around here is scenic. If they only had a whataburger i would consider moving up here.

Nah I like it... sun is setting... footsteps everywhere... dirt on the plate. Seems like a great classic game was played right before lights out.

Been years since I've posted or been in POTN. With life, marriage, and a son...things got busy. Finally back in the photography world, and have the chance to enjoy one of my passions. Decided when i bought new gear, I'd finally go full frame. My last DSLR was the 60D when it first came out. Now I've gone with the 5DmkIV, and can say it has been awesome! This is a photo of my son, who luckily is always willing to let me photograph. We were stuck on the highway after going to the grand canyon, due to a large accident. We decided to have some fun on the side of the road. Feel free to critique. Glad to finally be back!

At almost 9 she is growing up too fast. My only granddaughter it seems like only yesterday I was giving her a bottle and rocking her to sleep.

Wow, she's grown up fast! It's seems so recently that you were posting shots of her as a toddler!

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

A Sanderling (in French, B├ęcasseau Sanderling) as the sun is going down. Taken with the 2x III TC and the 500 F4 II, on my elbows on the beach. I'm using the 2x more and more with the 500 and 5D IV, even handheld, and I'm increasingly being impressed as my technique improves. I'm getting 90 pct sharp at 1/1000 sec handled, much improved from 6 months ago when I was only batting 50 pct handheld. This combo is very croppable.

Really jealous of events like that!

Just wondering - why f/18 & ISO6400? Or has the forum software got it wrong?
