Sep 05, 2017 21:14 | #4233 Starting to go all in on Sony. I have the Batis 25 and recently added the FE 50/1.8 and now I’m waiting for the arrival of the FE 85/1.8. I’m still trying to sell the Batis to cover and replace it with the FE 28/2. Figure a budget 3 lens kit will be just fine.

Sep 05, 2017 21:52 | #4234 Got in the CY 35-70, surprising feature, the macro function(didnt research enough), close enough for flower shots and that Zeissness feels all there. It does have the flare issues that the 100-300 has (which I suspected before I bought), other than that, this thing seems pretty sharp even wide open. Just a warm glow from the afternoon sun. Let me know if you find it distracting. I thought about cropping some of the top. ![]() got it from a usa seller on ebay for 400 or so (didnt want to risk returning to a japan seller), near mint/mint condition. Smaller than I anticipated, but still a little longer and thinner than the 24-70 f4. Smaller than I anticipated, but still a little longer and thinner than the 24-70 f4. using the K&F concept adapter, absolutely rock solid compared to other inexpensive dumb adapters. Downside is that the inside is pretty shiny, so I had to flock it. For now, it seems like a miniature 100-300 in terms of IQ, and about half the size. The macro function is at the 35mm side, which is odd, but worked fine for flowers, I'm not the biggest macro shooter, however, having a close focusing lens in the field is nice. I had no plans on using it to shoot my kids, but did anyhow, and looks pretty good if you've got light. Will likely stick with primes for that. Sounds good Charlie. Looking forward to your shots from it. - Alfredo -

Usually if you have clouds you won't get banding but it happens with clear blue skies - Alfredo -
